STAR
471 Professional PTO
driven rotary hay rakes with high working capacity
and the unique SIP Autoflow tandem axle undercarriage
for optimal stability and finger height. A PTO powered rotary
rake produces a superior windrow (swath) compared to pulled
and other rake types and this rake series has several simple
to use adjustments to best accommodate different crop and
ground conditions. |

FEATURES
OF THE SIP STAR 471 Rotary Rake |
| |
- The
windrow (swath) is well formed for superior
feeding into baler or pickup wagon.
- SIP
rakes generally have more fingers (tines) per arm
than equivalent sized machines for faster/cleaner
raking.
- A fast
raking performance with a clean raking
action gives maximum crop yield.
- Gentle
on the crop with less contamination, and
thereby ensuring maximum nutrient value in the crop.
- Pivoting
headstock allows 23 degree turning
compared to 18 degrees on many other similar products.
- Lower
linkage arms are category 1 and 2 and are floating
to allow tractor/rake coupling to better follow ground contours.
- Quiet
oil bath rotor gear box.

 |
Stepless
height adjustment is achieved with a long crank handle
that can be operated from the tractor cabin.
It is
constructed with heavy duty gears for excellent
life and reliability. |
 |
Finger
(tine) angle through each rotation is controlled by a strong
enclosed cam track system in an oil bath. The arms operate
tangentially off the cam track for reliability and long life.
A simple
lever adjustment of the cam track allows
the best setting for gentle crop handling crop from fresh
to dry forage. |
 |
The
patented SIP Autoflow undercarriage ensures
excellent ground tracking and stability for optimal finger
height while raking.
Large
balloon tyres are fitted. |
 |
The
pivoting headstock provides excellent manouevrability. |
 |
Stabilisers
are standard equipment for the pivoting hitch. When working
at high speed and tight turning., the stabilisers dampen the
pivoting action of the hitch improving stability and vibration. |
 |
The
tine arms are removable and fitted to their transport position
and the curtain raised for a narrow overall transport
width of only 1.64 metres.
The height
adjustment crank can be clearly seen in this view. |

OPTIONS |
 |
The
optional front support wheel is available for extremely uneven
ground conditions.
With this
option the front rake height is set by the jockey wheel and
the top link is disconnected for a complete float and pivot
of the rake. |
